Just getting back on track with social media and such -- summertime is such a suck-you-away-from-the-computer time, isn't it?
What's been happening?
Been working on At Long Last, the fourth and final romance in my School for Sophistication series, and it should be released in late July / early August.
If you're on my newsletter email list, I just sent out a sneak peek of the cover. Not signed up yet? No sweat. Here's the link. Also, a freebie sale is going on as I type this entry. Another incentive to sign up!
A Peek into Straight from the Heart
I promised this in my last blog entry, so here we go . . . Ryan Cassidy, deputy sheriff, a muscular hunk of a guy, who's low-key, funny, sexy and falling for Giana Linstrom despite his fears of marriage. He's seen too many marriages go bad, including his own mother's.
And now for Giana -- bubbly, enthusiastic, a dreamer whose dreams never seem to come to fruition. She's at a crossroads in her life and confused as to which way to turn, especially when Ryan comes within 50 feet of her!
She's a yoga instructor and an aspiring actress/singer with one eye on Broadway and one foot planted in the love & marriage idea, seeing as she's surrounded by love in her large, noisy Italian family. What's a girl to do?
Setting Ideas for Straight from the Heart . . .
These are various settings from the wedding of Amanda and Nate (book #1 in the Maine series), whose wedding prompts Ryan and Giana to come closer to sticking their toes in the marriage pool . . Above is the outside deck of Simone, the nursery owner and herbalist whose cottage perches on a river.
The reception for Amanda and Nate takes place in one of the nursery's large barns that are scattered around the grounds. I found these images in one of my favorite British magazines, Country Living.
I hope you'll take a few minutes to follow this link and purchase your copy of Straight from the Heart. Book #3 will release in early 2024, if not sooner. Sometimes it's hard to tell as I've got more than one book going at a time and it depends on which one is closer to the finish line, I suppose!
HAPPY READING!
Claire H.
